How Remote Executive Assistants Add to Company Culture

When Juliet, a Productivity Assistant at Quickskill, finished her first year working with the water reuse company Epic Cleantec the company sent her company merchandise, just like they do for all employees.
Julia shared a photo of herself with the swag on LinkedIn, saying, “It has been a year since I started working with Epic Cleantec. I am so grateful to be part of this company and their mission, as they pave the way to promote Water Reuse.”
The first comment on the post was from Epic Cleantech co-founder and CEO Aaron Tartakovsky: “We are so glad to have you on the Epic team, Juliet! Thanks for all that you do!”
Teammates First
The exchanges reflect the level of integration Quickskill assistants have with our clients. While all are remote and work from our offices in Asia or Central America, they become co-workers with clients’ executive teams. Epic Cleantec supports two executives with Quickskill Productivity Assistants.
“The Quickskill assistants are part of our team,” Rob Graham, Vice President of Enterprise Solutions at fintech company Ascendant, said. Ascendant ramped up to 12 Quickskill assistants. “Gray, the assistant for my team, combines three reports for me to send to my COO every week,” Rob said. “I was sick for one week and came back, and the report had been taken care of. I love the initiative.”

Risks of Independent Contractors
The use of independent contractors is soaring with the gig economy, now up to 11 percent of the workforce. The drivers for outsourcing work are typically to access specialized skills and save costs.
But there are risks of relying on contractors, including erosion of company culture, disengagement, and lack of availability. “Workplace culture is often seen as an intangible and, as such, is easily put on the back burner in favor of the balance sheet,” Business Daily said. “You also risk the sudden loss of an independent contractor. That can spell disaster if you rely on them for a large amount of work.”
